BECAUSE SOMETIMES NEXT DOOR CAN FEEL LIKE THE OTHER SIDE OF THE WORLD.
If there’s one thing we love about staying in the Cotswolds, it’s the awe-inspiring views. Imagine waking up to lush green countryside, with nothing but fresh air and the sound of farm animals in a nearby field. Having the great outdoors right on the doorstep of your second home is what makes the Cotswolds the most incredible place for a UK break.
With endless nature trails and picturesque villages to explore with Fairford only a short riverside walk from Cotswolds Waters, there’s always something to do. But the real beauty of visiting the Cotswolds is that you can do as much or as little as you like, and still have the most unforgettable stay.

The Cotswolds
Experience
River Activities
The Cotswolds is crisscrossed with waterways. The Thames, Avon and Severn all run through the region and the Coln and Leach join the Thames at Lechlade. That makes the town a favourite mooring place for narrowboats as well as a hub for cruises. You can tour up-river on a Thames Launch or charter your own craft.
Villages
The nearby villages are idyllic. The market town, Lechlade, is home to a popular family-friendly music festival and a churchyard that inspired Shelley. Burford, a picturesque medieval town, was featured in Forbes list of Europe’s loveliest places to live. Filkins was part of the estate of Sir Stafford Cripps and Southrop has a beautiful 12th century church.
Pubs
Whether your preference is a pint by the fire or a Pimm’s in the garden, there are some wonderful pubs close by.
The Victoria Arms, Eastleach, The Farmer’s Dog plus the Bull in Burford and The Bull in Fairford are worth particular mentions if you are looking to immerse yourself in a charming Cotswold village pub.
